MLBKT: The Purchasing Manager Index rose in August
The seasonally adjusted Purchasing Manager Index (BMI) was 52.6 points in August, up from 51.2 in July, the Hungarian Logistics Purchasing and Inventory Company (MLBKT) announced on Monday.
The rise in the indicator indicates that respondents reported more favorable processes overall than in the previous month. However, compared with previous August, this year’s value is below the 52.8-point long-term average for August and is below the 55.1-point average for the past three years. The majority of sub-indices examined in the survey increased compared to July.
The employment index remained above 50.0 points this month, the third time after a two-month decline. (MTI)
