NO microplastics – by ROSSMANN
In the future the product marking we introduced this year, ‘NO microplastics’, will appear on every ROSSMANN cosmetics brand (scrub, shampoo, shower gel) that doesn’t contain solid microplastics or liquid synthetic polymers.
Sustainability is very important for ROSSMANN, so we have stopped using solid microplastics in manufacturing our own cosmetic brands. Wherever it is possible, we don’t put liquid microplastics in our products either.
Our company teamed up with scientific experts to compile the list of those solid and semi-solid plastics, and water-soluble synthetic polymers that ROSSMANN won’t utilise any more. In close cooperation with scientific advisors and suppliers, we had checked every product that might contain these and came up with alternative ingredients.
Until the end of the year nearly 500 ISANA products will get the ROSSMANN ‘NO microplastics’ marking; in the case of the Babydream ROSSMANN brand there will be 31 such products. Certified natural cosmetics are free-from microplastics, e.g. many ROSSMANN Alterra products. (x)
