Carrefour uses AI to reduce food waste in Belgium
Every day Carrefour has to discount 40,000 near-expiry items in its 831 large stores in Belgium.

As this is a costly operation, the retailer has been looking for a solution that could simultaneously manage expiry dates, optimise discounts and combat food waste.
