Employee turnover has moderated, but it does not bring relief
At the national level, employee turnover decreased significantly, decreasing to 28 percent last year, from 33 percent a year earlier. However, companies can’t breathe a sigh of relief, because this value is still double what is acceptable. And the decrease is not due to the easing of tensions in the labor market, but rather the consequence of last year’s economic difficulties and the reorganization of the labor market, according to this year’s national fluctuation research by HR-Evolution.
Last year’s recession did not affect individual industries in the same way, the change in turnover varies from sector to sector. In the production sector, turnover decreased significantly to 28 percent last year, from 36 percent a year earlier. On the other hand, it increased slightly, from 31 to 33 percent, in the service sector and from 23 to 26 percent in the trade sector.
The fluctuation of the borrowed and student staff, which accounts for 9 percent of the total staff, fell drastically. The turnover of temporary workers dropped from 192 to 129 percent, and that of students from 210 to 144 percent, but it is still at a critical level. The fluctuation of the own stock decreased from 26 to 23 percent.
The turnover of white-collar workers decreased to 16 percent after a peak of 19 percent a year ago, and the emigration of blue-collar workers changed from 40 to 35 percent.
