We have the winners of the V-Label international innovation competition!
The world innovation competition announced for the third time by the Swiss-based V-Label, the best-known international certification mark for vegan products, has come to an end. The work of the international professional jury has ended, and the winners will be presented online on November 1 and live on November 16 at the Plant Based World Europe trade show in London.
As a jury member of the sustainability category, I was given the honorable and exciting task of selecting the best of the 15 best products pre-selected by an algorithm based on the completed entries, and I can say that although I am already considered a routine product juror, I have never been in such a difficult decision-making situation.
Among the best products – with few exceptions – were food products, and the field was very broad in terms of the categories represented. Confidentiality is binding until the results are announced, so I cannot reveal many details, but some lessons can already be learned, on the one hand from a sustainability perspective, on the other hand from a food professional perspective, and from a Hungarian perspective as well.
