Széchenyi dessert
The Hungarian Confectioners Guild, the Association of International Protocol Professionals, the Hungarian Museum of Trade and Tourism and the Count Széchenyi Family Foundation announced a special protocol dessert competition back in spring.
Balázs Erdélyi, the guild’s president shared the milestones of the project with our magazine.

In three categories 27 desserts entered the competition, and they were made with many typical Hungarian ingredients such as acacia flower, Tokaji Aszú wine, smoked seasoning paprika, etc. Tímea Széchenyi, president of the Count Széchenyi Family Foundation announced the results of the contest. The jury’s verdict was that the winner of the plate dessert category should bear the Széchenyi name. It was the creation called Casino, made by Ádám Varga, the master confectioner of Mászáros Confectionery in Szombathely.
