SPAR’s first Snack Box Day was organized
Nearly two hundred applications have been submitted to the SPAR Snack Box Program. The primary goal of the campaign was for parents to familiarize their children to the basics of healthy eating through their home-cooked desserts. SPAR is committed to presenting healthy alternatives and has reduced its sugar content by 50 tonnes this year in its value-added branded products.
While catering companies are trying to add sugar and salt to menus in a less extent each year, the phenomenon of parents relying on their children and the provision of school canteens for snacks is becoming increasingly worrying.
The SPAR Snack Box Program was implemented in cooperation with PlanB Magyarország Kft.
