Recently a Hungarian school has informed parents in a letter that from now on soup will only be served at lunch 2-3 times a week, and the children will get juice or fruit instead. Why? Gas is too expensive now, and the catering company is trying to avoid increasing prices by cooking less often. Meanwhile index.hu reported that a Budapest restaurant estimates ten times bigger utility costs than before, but they won’t close. What is more, cheaper, small-portion tapas type food will appear on the menu as a novelty.
