Wallis Motor Duna has opened its BYD showroom, three purely electric models of the Chinese car manufacturer are available in the dealership
The Wallis Motor Duna BYD car showroom belonging to the AutoWallis Group opened in a festive setting. The dealer group has been a key player in the Hungarian car market for nearly 30 years, distributing such illustrious brands as BMW and BMW motorcycles, MINI, Maserati, SsangYong and ISUZU in its three Budapest dealerships. The fact that the Chinese electric car manufacturer BYD chose Wallis Motor Duna, a member of the AutoWallis Group, as one of its first showrooms in Hungary further strengthens the market position of the dealer group and represents a major step forward for it in the field of sustainable mobility.
Founded in 1994, Wallis Motor is a dominant market player in the entire Hungarian premium vehicle segment. Its wide model portfolio is now being expanded by a major brand, as the Wallis Motor Duna showroom is the first domestic dealership where customers can get to know BYD models.
BYD (Build Your Dreams – make your dreams come true) is the world’s leading manufacturer of plug-in cars (NEV i.e. New Energy Vehicle). The Chinese company, founded in 1995, initially engaged in battery production, but its activities now extend to the vehicle industry, rail transport, new energy and electronics. The company’s automotive business is already present in Hungary with its electric bus manufacturing company, and in October of this year, it also started selling its purely electric vehicles in Hungary – the first in the Central and Eastern European region. The high-tech company aims to accelerate the transition from fossil fuel-powered vehicles to electric models with its innovative developments, helping to promote more sustainable mobility.
