The detailed domestic report of the Randstad Workmonitor research has been published
The Randstad Workmonitor 2024 report sheds light on the transformation of the Hungarian labor market, especially with regard to factors such as work-life balance, the need for flexibility, and employee expectations regarding training and career development.
According to the survey, 93% of workers in Hungary consider the balance of work and private life to be of utmost importance, which is just as important to them as salary. Flexible working hours are also an important aspect for 83% of the respondents. While pay is still central to employee decisions, job security and adequate benefits are also high on the agenda. For example, 80% of respondents claim that their current workplace provides them with security.
The report also points out that some Hungarian workers (56%) feel that they do not receive the necessary salary to live a satisfying life. As a result, many people consider leaving their jobs if they are not provided with higher wages or better working conditions. In addition, a significant number of employees would take on additional work due to the rising cost of living.
Training and development also play an important role among Hungarian employees, as 69% of respondents consider career development opportunities, especially training related to artificial intelligence, important. Those who feel that there are not enough training opportunities are even ready to quit.
The results show that employees are increasingly looking for workplaces where they can work flexibly, where they are guaranteed a balance between work and private life, and where they see a real opportunity for their professional development.
