The labor market revived – the number of job applications increased by 25 percent
By autumn, the domestic labor market revived: the pace of job searches started significantly. In total, the number of applications submitted for advertisements increased by 25 percent compared to the same period last year, while 1 percent more jobs waiting to be filled appeared on the Profession.hu interface. The largest increase in labor recruitment was in the counties of Tolna, Pest and Fejér during the examined period, according to the company’s latest report.

The workforce is in revival
The significant increase in demand for labor experienced during the year seems to have eased by the third quarter: a 1 percent increase compared to the same period of the previous year. However, there has been a revival on the side of the candidates: compared to the third quarter of 2021, the number of applications in Hungary increased by 25 percent. During the last 18 months, not only was there no growth on a year-on-year basis, but the number of applications decreased from quarter to quarter. This trend changed with the beginning of autumn: applications have started, employees are more actively looking for jobs – the latest quarterly report of Profession.hu points out.
