Reliability and traditional Hungarian flavours
These are the keys to the success of the Hungarian Treasures product range of Lidl Magyarország. Lidl launched the range – which exclusively consists of products made of Hungarian ingredients – in 2017 and shopper feedback was very positive.
Already before this, Lidl started a programme in 2013 to strengthen ties with Hungarian suppliers. Today the discounter works with nearly 500 Hungarian suppliers, and customers can choose from more than 4,000 Hungarian products in Lidl stores.
Fresh Hungarian fruit and vegetables
There are nearly 100 products in the Hungarian Treasures range, such as fruit syrups, jams, fruit juices, pastas, milk and dairy products, various salamis and sausages, and in August 2022 Lidl added garlic from Makó, hot peppers and tomatoes from Szentes, potatoes from the Homokhát region, cucumbers from Méhkerék and green apples from Szatmár to the selection. Hungarian Treasures products have distinctive packaging, while fruit and vegetables in this range are marked with a special sticker.
MagyarBrands winner for the fourth time
Hungarian Treasures products won the MagyarBrand award for four years in a row. In 2022 Hungarian Treasures proved to be the best in two categories: the range became a MagyarBrands Innovative Brand for the fourth time and an Excellent Consumer Brand for the second time. (x)
