Hungarian Product can become even bigger business
Minister of Agriculture István Nagy told at the Agóra conference: we can only exploit the potential of the Hungarian food industry if production becomes more efficient and consumers buy even more Hungarian products. Eszter Benedek, managing director of Hungarian Product Nonprofit Kft. informed that already 164 food producers are using the trademark on nearly 4,000 products. In the roundtable discussion the representatives of retail chains (Auchan, CBA, Coop, Metro, Spar) and product manufacturers (Ági Nektár, Detki Keksz, Globus, Mary-Ker Pasta) talked about how selling Hungarian products can become even bigger business for both parties. They agreed that there is still more potential to exploit in emphasising the Hungarian origin of products. //
