Mastercard: 16 million tourists visited Hungary spending 5.5 billion euros last year
In Hungary last year, 16 million tourists spent 5.5 billion euros. About 60 percent of the amount was spent with a credit card – Mastercard told MTI on Thursday.
According to the international card company, 30 percent of tourists spendings were on meals, 13 percent on purchases, 12 percent on leisure time, and 11 percent on hotels.
Europeans are considered as big travelers worldwide, having an average vacation ten times a year at home or abroad. (MTI)
