About 10,000 students have already participated in the SMASHED educational program aimed at curbing alcohol consumption among young people
Diageo, the world’s leading producer and distributor of alcoholic beverages, in cooperation with the Momentán Társulat launched the SMASHED program for primary and secondary school students in Hungary in 2019, in cooperation with Momentán Társulat, which will also be available as an interactive online educational platform from the fall of 2021 under the name SMASHED Online for young people, teachers and parents. Since its launch, around 10,000 students have participated in the program, which was supported by ORFK-OBB.
The SMASHED program was developed by Collingwood Learning in the United Kingdom, which Diageo has supported internationally since the program’s launch in 2005 and now informs the public about the dangers of alcohol consumption at a young age in 30 countries. In Hungary, since 2019, within the framework of the 10-year action plan, Diageo a Society 2030: Spirit of Progress, together with the Momentán Társulat, has been touring the country with a series of groundbreaking, live-action, interactive performances, thus involving thousands of young people in the program.
