The topic of responsible alcohol consumption became part of university classes at the Dreher Sörgyárak “Eat-Drink!” to initiate its program. The first test course of the UNI series of the program started at Budapest Metropolitan University in the fall of 2022. Since the start of the program, more than a hundred bachelor’s and master’s and postgraduate students have studied and planned sensitization campaigns on moderate alcohol consumption. After the success of the pilot semester, the gap-filling initiative will continue at several universities in 2023: in addition to the Budapest Metropolitan University, Corvinus and MOME also joined with their courses.

Ésszel-iszom, which has been running for 14 years, was created to promote the education of responsible alcohol consumption as widely as possible. the latest element of the program, which invites young adults from the age of 18, at the very beginning of the domestic legal drinking age, to discuss the topic.

I drink the Sense! In the framework of UNI, students can learn about domestic and international trends, laws and challenges related to alcohol consumption with extraordinary intensity. The course material provided and the active project work enable their awareness of moderation to develop and they themselves become ambassadors of responsible alcohol consumption. I drink the Sense! The basis of the UNI concept is for students to design a feasible project that can effectively and authentically appeal to their own age group. One of the central elements of the launched program is the practical focus: leaving the theoretical framework, students can work on a real social problem and a task that can even be implemented at the national level with strong professional mentoring – this is reflected in the quality and complexity of the presented work.

The elaborated project works are judged by a professional jury, in which, in addition to the university management and the lecturer, the client and the creative agency side are also present.
