Turkey declines
Not only the pork, but the demand for less expensive birds have also declined. The biggest loss is recorded in the turkey industry.
According to the recent report of the Agricultural Economics Research Institute; although until the end of November last year, nearly the same quantity of chicken was purchased – and the decline was only 1 percent, but an average of 6 percent decrease had occured in prices.
In the first nine months of the year, more than 20 percent reduction had been occured in the rate of domestic sales and at the imports with a slightly smaller proportion, compared to the results of a year before – reports Népszabadság Online.
