Magazin: One pair, two pairs, grill
ming more and more popular, the market keeps expanding and the product selection is growing. Tamás Kováts, sales director of ZIMBO Perbál Kft. told our magazine that consumers like trying new flavours, so this season the company puts 2 new grill sausage products on the market: 300g Blueberry grill sausage and 300g ZIMBO Special grill sausage. Last year the company’s products sold better than in the previous year, in part because ZIMBO Perbál was offering a wider range of products and also because of the prize game they organised. Hajnalka Németh, commercial director of Pápai Hús 1913 Kft. informed Trade magazin that sales grew significantly in both value and volume last year from the level of 2013. Pápai products come in 400g packaging and the majority of sales are realised by Hungarian, Chilli and Cheese grill sausages and grill snacks. This year’s novelty is the horseradish flavour. Marinated meats are sold in many flavours, both on the bone and boneless, in vacuum packaging. The company also manufactures private label products – retail chains now require higher meat content from these products too. Kaiser Food Kft. had a successful season with the 190g format last year – we learned from sales and marketing director László Benedek. Mix and Mustard were the most popular grill sausage varieties last year, but consumers also liked the Cheese and Piquant versions. This year’s new product is Bavarian grill sausage. Mr Benedek added that an advantage of the smaller format is that consumers buy more grill sausage types at the same time. Zsolt Kazai, the sales director of Wiesbauer-Dunahús told our magazine that grill product sales improved as much as sales in general last year. This growth had to do with the new products introduced to the market last year, the fact that products are now listed in the units of many retail chains and with the company’s strong promotional activity at retailer partners. From last year’s new products consumers loved Hot and Barbecue grill sausages very much. Sales were rather balanced between the different flavours. Wiesbauer-Dunahús has a stable group of buyers who want quality products only, and this need is satisfied very well by the company’s soy-, lactose- and gluten-free grill products. This year they launch the 300g Mustard grill sausage
