Retail sales went downhill
According to the Central Statistical Office (KSH), like-for-like retail volume sales were down 12.6% in March 2023; adjusted for calendar effects, the sales decrease was 13.1%. Grocery stores saw their volume sales fall 10.3%, non-food stores suffered a 9.6% sales drop in volume, and volume sales were down 29.3% in motor fuel retail. In January-March 2023 retail volume sales reduced by 9.5% if compared with the first three months of 2022. //
