The product called Nagyapám bread with potatoes has a thick and crisp crust, and has a tasty and harmonious taste.
This year, Balmaz Sütöde Kft. won first place in the St. Stephen’s Day bread category for the third time: in 2020, Hajdúság homemade bread, in 2022, Gulyás bread, and this year, their product called Nagyapám kenyere with potatoes became the bread of the country.
According to the professional jury, the best of the Innovative bread category was the wild sourdough bread with Jalapenos-cheddar cheese, also made by Balmaz Sütöde Kft. The product’s uniqueness and specialty lies in the fact that it is made with an extremely long 24-hour fermentation process, without added yeast. In 2023, Balmaz Sütöde Kft. was already first in the Innovative bread category: then the Aranymetszés bread proved to be the best.
