Growth in retail sales slowed down in Romania
Growth in retail sales slowed in Romania in April, while the retail sales volume in March was 9.2 percent higher than in March last year. In April retail sales increased by 4.6 percent, compared to a year before.
The growth was 2.6 percent in April, compared to March, while the seasonally adjusted and calendar-adjusted figures both decreased by 0.2 percent.
The Romanian statistical institute’s data series published on Tuesday revealed that the Romanian retail trade grew by 6.3 percent in the first four months of the year, compared to the same period of last year. Romanian retail closed the first quarter with an increase of 6.9 percent. (MTI)
