Inflation in the United States slowed in April from a 41-year high in the previous month
The annual rate of inflation in the United States slowed to 8.3 percent in April from a 41-year high of 8.5 percent in March, but fell short of the market forecast of 8.1 percent.
Energy prices rose 30.3 percent, down from 32 percent in March, namely gasoline prices rose 43.6 percent after 48.0 percent, while fuel oil prices rose more 80.5 percent after 70.1 percent. (MTI)
