Kürt: the dangers of online shopping can be avoided with everyday actions
The known Hungarian online stores maintain appropriate levels of safety. With preparedness and everyday steps the dangers of Internet shopping can be avoided – the KÜRT Információbiztonsági és Adatmentő Zrt. (KÜRT Information Security and Data Recovery Inc.) stressed in its statement on Friday.
The company in its statement drew attention that the site itself cannot give a lot of information to the average user. If the website’s address starts with http:// than the website has a certificate which proves that the page is really operated by the company. If the https is crossed out with a red diagonal line, the certificate does not appoint a reliable source, the reliability of the operator can not be justified. In this case the purchase is not recommended – the company warned. (MTI)
