KSH: the improvement in employment came to a halt during the winter months
Between November 2016 and January 2017, the average number of employees was 4 million 401 thousand, 161 thousand more than the year before.
The data shows a slight decrease of 10 thousand, compared to last year’s fourth quarter – according to the Central Statistical Office’s (KSH) report released on Monday.
The employment rate for 15-64 year olds increased by 2.9 percentage points in one year to 67.4 percent, but is 0.1 percentage points below the three-month rolling average of the previous two reports. (MTI)
