KSH: accelerated growth in retail sales in June
In June, retail sales rose by 7.2 percent in volume compared with a year before, after the 4.4 percent increase of the previous month. The calendar-adjusted data shows an annual increase of 6.2 percent after the 5.4 percent of May.
The retail trade turnover increased by two years without a break in Hungary since July 2013. In the first half of the year, retail sales exceeded by 6.1 percent, compared to the same period of last year, both according to the calendar-adjusted and unadjusted data – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) described its first estimate on Wednesday.
