Average gross earnings am ounted to HUF 228,200
In the national economy – at corporations employing at least 5 persons, budgetary and designated
non-profit institutions – average gross earnings increased by 3.4%, while net earnings grew by
4.8% compared to the previous year.
In January–June 2013, full-time employees’ average gross nominal earnings
according to the
national concept amounted to HUF
228,200; within this, those of full-
time employees in the business
sector were equal to HUF 239,400. Average gross ear
nings at budgetary institutions without fostered
workers were HUF 219,100. Average gross earnings of fostered workers
were HUF 77,700. In the
national economy, average gross nomi
nal earnings grew by 3.4% compar
ed to the previous year. In
January–June, average gross earnings grew by 3.3% in
the business sector. In th
e public sector, average
gross earnings increased by 4.6% wit
hout the effect of the changing pro
portion of fostered workers. In
non-profit institutions, average gross earnings rose by 3.9% to HUF 206,600.
At the top of the ranking by
the nominal value of earnings were invariably financial and insurance activities (HUF 485,100), followed by
information and communication (HUF 432,600) and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (HUF
393,500). At the end of the ranking were accommodation
and food service activities (HUF 145,600), human
health and social work activities (HUF 153,500) and agriculture, forestry and fishing (HUF 163,200).
In January–June 2013, a part of employees at
budgetary institutions received HUF 10,500 on the
average as a
compensation
– not belonging to wages and salaries – for changes in taxes and
contributions, while employees entitled to such
compensation in non-profit
institutions got HUF 11,200
under this title.
Within gross earnings,
regular earnings
(gross earnings without premiums and one-month bonus)
increased by 3.1% on the average
compared to January–June 2012.
In January–June, average
net earnings
excluding family tax benefits were HUF 149,400 by national
concept; they were equal to HUF 103,400 in case of manual and HUF 197,900 in case of non-manual
workers, and they increased by an average of 4.8% comp
ared to the previous year
. In the business sector,
average net earnings grew by 4.9% over one year. They
increased by 4.7% in budgetary institutions and
by 4.9% in non-profit institutions. (Calcula

Monthly average
wages and salaries according to the SNA concept
, amounting to HUF 240,700,
rose by 3.5% compared to January–June 2012. Within this
indicator, the share of other wages and salaries
was 5.2% on the average.
