KSH: consumer prices increased by 11.7 percent in June
In June, consumer prices exceeded a year earlier by an average of 11.7 percent. In the past year, the prices of food and durable consumer goods have risen the most, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) reported on Friday.
Consumer prices increased by an average of 1.5 percent in one month.
The annual core inflation was 13.8 percent.
Compared to May, the annual inflation index rose by 1.0 percentage points, and core inflation by 1.6 percentage points.
Food prices rose by 22.1 percent, compared to last June, and by 2.9 percent, compared to May. (MTI)
