KSH: retail sales continued to rise in January
In January, retail sales rose by 7.7 percent, compared to the previous year – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Wednesday.
Due to the post-Christmas sales the sales of non-food manufactured goods increased by 11.1 percent pulling up total sales. According to the data, household consumption is increasing for a consecutive nineteen months . The calendar-adjusted index of retail sales showed an even greater 8.2 percent increase in January.
