KSH: retail sales accelerated
According to raw data, retail sales grew by 3.3 percent, calendar effects adjusted – mainly due to Easter – increased by 5.4 percent in March, compared to the same period of last year, according to the second estimate of the Central Statistical Office (KSH).
The indicator is the same as the first estimate released on May 4. The data indicate that, following a moderate increase of 0.8 and 0.9 percent in February, the turnover returned to its formerly pace.
In January-March 2017, the volume of traffic (calendar effects adjusted) was 3.4 percent higher than in the same period of the previous year, while the raw data shows a 3.0 percent increase. (MTI)
