KSH: foreign trade reached a surplus of 455 million euros in August
In August, the volume of exports increased by 6.6 percent, while the volume of imports increased by 7.0 percent, compared to the same month of the previous year. The surplus grew by 21 million euros, compared with August last year, reaching 455 million euros – the second estimate of the Central Statistical Office (KSH) was published on Monday.
In August, the value of exports was 6.5 billion euros (2,026 billion HUF), while the value of imports was 6.1 billion euros (1,884 billion HUF).
Exports increased by 6.2 percent and imports grew by 6.3 percent in August in euros, compared to a year before.
The value of trade balance is 4 million euros lower than in the first estimate published on 9 October.
