KSH: there is no sign of turning point in tourism
According to the Central Statistical Office (KSH); in the first 8 months of the year, the number of foreign guests decreased by 12, the number of domestic visitors decreased by 6 percent, compared to the previous year.
The income of accommodations declined by 9 percent on current prices. In each of the past eight month, lower customer traffic was recorded, than in 2008.
Between January and August 2009, 2173 thosand foreign guests spent 6350 thousand guest nights at commercial accommodations. The number of guests decreased by 12, the number of guest nights decreased by 11 percent, compared to the same period of 2008.
