KSH: agricultural producer prices increased more than expenditure in the first three quarters of the year
In the first three quarters, agricultural producer prices increased more than input prices, the former increased by 5.8 percent and the latter by 4.2 percent, compared to the same period of 2018, so changes in price conditions had a positive impact on farmers’ income situation (KSH).
Among the agricultural products, the producer price index of apples and slaughter pigs was exceptionally high in September, and the prices of fertilizers and building and maintenance costs increased the most. (MTI)
