KSH: surplus in May was 959 million euros
Following the swing in April, exports and imports again reached double-digit growth in May. The value of exports in euros was 19.7, and imports were 18.7 percent higher than in the previous year, according to a second estimate of the Central Statistical Office (KSH), released on Tuesday.
The foreign trade surplus increased by 217 million euros, compared to May last year and amounted to 959 million euros.
In its first estimate on 7 July, the Central Statistical Office reported lower 18.8 percent increase in exports and 18.4 percent growth in imports, with shorter reductions of 913 million euros foreign trade surplus. (MTI)
