KSH: prices rose by 4.4 percent in February
In February, consumer prices were up 4.4 percent on average, compred to the year before. Compared to January, consumer prices increased by 0.3 percent – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Tuesday.
Inflation declined from 4.7 percent in January.
Annual core inflation increased to 4.1 percent, an unprecedented level since the end of 2012, after fluctuating between 3.9 and 4.0 percent since September.
Over the past year, the prices of vehicle fuels, spirits, tobacco and food have increased significantly. (MTI)
