KSH: 4,559,000 employees in April
In April, the average monthly number of employees aged 15-74 was 4,559,000, which was 36,000 more than in the same period of the previous year and 57,000 less than in the previous month, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Thursday.
The employment rate for those aged 15-64 was 71.9 percent last month, which is 0.6 percentage points lower than in March and 1.3 percentage points higher than in April of the previous year.
In the three-month period February-April, the average number of employees was 4,575,000, 0.2 percent and 9,000, less than a year earlier. (MTI)
