KSH: The trade surplus in 2021 was 1.897 billion euros
In 2021, the value of Hungarian exports in euros was 13.6 percent, and imports 18.2 percent higher than in the previous year, the export surplus melted to 1.897 billion euros from 5.618 billion euros in 2020, the Central Statistical Office announced in its second estimate.

Imports expanded more than exports in 2021
In December, exports rose by 17.9 percent in euro terms and imports by 26.6 percent, with the balance deteriorating by 658 million euros from a year earlier and closing with a deficit of 378 million euros, up 565 million euros from the first estimate. (MTI)
