Our common heritage is the Carpathian Basin Wine Culture
We do not leave all the wealth that lies in the soil of the Carpathian Basin, vineyards, fruit bushes and human expertise, diligence, said István Nagy, Minister of Agriculture II. Ribon Carpathian Basin Ribiszlibor Competition Award event on Friday, Csíkmadaras.
The ministry leader drew attention to being proud of our local values, as customers are increasingly seeking specialties like the currant. Therefore, our task is to preserve and introduce these values to others. The minister recalled that last year the government had launched the Ferenc Schams plan to support the development of the Hungarian wine culture of the Carpathian Basin. Through the foreign civilian agricultural organizations involved in the implementation of the plan, they primarily help small business businesses and family businesses to impose their successes to a narrower and broader community. More smaller or larger support throughout the Carpathian Basin will create a comprehensive network that will result in historical Hungarian wine regions shining again in their old light, he added.
István Nagy also talked about the fact that agriculture had to deal with many challenges in recent times
He mentioned climate change, rising energy prices, mistaken sanctions in Brussels, changes in consumer habits and uncertainty of economic environment. The minister emphasized that farmers and agricultural enterprises should respond to the difficulties in cooperation. He explained that the Ribon Natural Cooperative is at the forefront of this work, which is a secure background for the producers of stripes and more distant areas. They offer opportunities through the cooperative that are also available to farmers with smaller areas. The minister emphasized that cooperation is the basis of a successful future.
