Volunteers collected nearly 2 tons of waste from the Lake Tisza
Shoes, flasks, PET bottles and many other rubbish contaminates the Tisza, its floodplains and reed beds.
Last Friday, more than 1.8 tons of waste were collected by Coca-Cola Magyarország and PET Cup volunteers on the Tisza near Kisköre as part of the Waste-Free Tisza program. In connection with World Waste Day, this was the second action of the program, which surpassed the program in July when the river was cleared of 1.5 tons of waste.
