Nearly 180 tons of food products were donated by Tesco customers
Tesco’s customers donated 178 tons, ie 445,000 servings of food, in the Christmas fundraising campaign of the Hungarian Food Bank Association.
In addition to the donations of the buyers, Tesco supports the operation of the Food Bank by 20 percent of the value of the donations: the supermarket chain offered a total of 18 million HUF to help the Association to deliver the more than 500 million forints worth food surplus.
