It is mandatory to indicate the origin of meat with flags in the meat counters of major stores
From January 15, Wednesday it is mandatory to indicate the origin of non-prepacked, fresh pork in the meat counters of major supermarkets – Éder Tamás, president of the Hungarian Meat Industry Association announced.
The President explained that, under the regulation, flags should be used to assist in identifying the place of origin in shops larger than 200 square meters. In smaller shops, the origin of the meat should be indicated by letters only, the provision also refers to the size of the letters. (MTI)
