Instead of tears, MediaMark chose humor and reality as the theme in its Christmas advertisement
The tension between generations in the digital age is the theme of MediaMarkt’s Christmas film. The main character of the story is a young girl who arrives home for Christmas, but instead of enjoying the festive atmosphere and time spent with her loved ones, every member of the family nags her with questions about setting up and using some gadget.
“They’re already waiting for me at home, because I’ll solve this too…”
The Hungarian song version of MediaMarkt’s Christmas short film plays, which foreshadows that despite the holidays, at Christmas the main character does not count on relaxation and moments spent together, but on tasks to be solved. A task given by the interpretations of smart developments in technology, especially for the older generation. Every family has that certain solution person whom family members regularly find with their technical problems. This recognition, which is relevant for MediaMarkt, is linked by the story to the brand’s role in this lighthearted and humorous film, which focuses on technology. The ad’s message is clear and to the point: Take care of your family. We take care of the technology. Discover our technical services before the holidays!
