Chemicals and cosmetics market sales slightly decreased in both volume and value terms
Hungary's retail household chemicals and cosmetics market was worth about 300 billion HUF in the first half of 2011, while sales slightly decreased in both volume and value terms, market research company Nielsen announced.
The value of chemicals and cosmetics sold in the first half slipped 1%, volume fell 3% in the 60 stores measured by Nielsen. The most popular products, such as general cleaning products, hair coloring and soap showed a 1-9% increase in value in the first half, Nielsen added.
