László Flórián, managing director of Rossmann Magyarország Kft. talked to our magazine:
“At the level of numbers everyone made progress in 2023. This was largely due to the inflation, which of course also increased costs and the resulting drop in real wages curbed consumption. Shoppers were even more conscious than before, so last year Rossmann also focused on the classics – promotional prices and the best possible deals.
We can solve it!
In response to the changed market conditions, we have launched the “There is no problem, we can solve it!” campaign, which expresses the attitude, helpfulness, problem solving, caring and something extra that we wish to offer our customers. The Rossmann mobile app has 700,000 active users, who can’t only shop, check prices, search for products or stores and read the promotional leaflets, but also use its virtual mirror feature. Rosssman’s loyalty programme reached 2 million registered members last year.
Leading the way in services
Our market leader online drugstore is the 16th largest online shop in Hungary, with 5-hour self-delivery in Budapest and the agglomeration, and services such as packaging-free delivery and pick-up from nearly 7,000 parcel lockers. Our Beauty Festival, dedicated to the showcasing Hungarian brands, was a great success with shoppers. At the end of 2022 Rossmann was honoured with the Best Workplace award. In 2023 we remodelled, expanded or opened 24 drugstores In February 2024 we opened our 250th store and started building our 28,000m² semi-automated warehouse and modern headquarters. In light of this, I think we don’t just have a great past, but also a great future in Hungary”. (x)
