Cost-cutting electronic processes
Béla Takács, head of IT at Eisberg Hungary Kft. told our magazine that in the spring they had switched to a new business management system and in a few weeks’ time they would start using a mobile ERP solution in order picking. They also keep connecting partners to the EDI data exchange system. In sourcing EDI has been used for a rather long time, but mainly with foreign partners. In sales large partners are already using EDI, while for the small ones Eisberg will introduce an online solution until the end of the year – this way the company will have to do less manual data management work. Mr Takács is of the opinion that machine to machine (M2M) communication can play an important role in generating information that facilitates decision-making.
