Colleagues and performers read poems to customers in Tesco stores on Poetry Day
On Tuesday, dozens of Tesco employees across the country will read Attila József’s poems over loudspeakers in hypermarkets. Actors Lia Pokorny and Márton Patkós also joined the initiative, reciting one of their lovely poems from a recording several times a day in Tesco stores.
“My employees are as diverse as our customers: in addition to being the driving force behind the Hungarian lira, Poetry Day also gives them the opportunity to present themselves to our customers and, of course, to each other in a slightly different way.”
– said Nóra Hevesi, Tesco’s communications manager.
