Are you into drugs? What does generation Z like and what does it reject?
A TikToker who works with autistic people, a mom who coaches soccer, a high school student who communicates with her ex through quotes, and an influencer who posts about her transition are also featured in Compact TV’s latest series, A nemZedék. In addition to the video series, Compact TV also publishes a comprehensive, freely accessible research summary on the content consumption habits of Generation Z.
Although Generation Z makes up only 26% of the world’s population, they are responsible for 40% of the total consumption, so it is important what trends, emotions and content they make their decisions based on. The young people in the series honestly express their opinions about identity, social media addiction, social loneliness, advertising or the mental state of the generation.
“I consider documenting the inside of my generation extremely relevant and important. I believe that our experiences and feedback on what is happening in the world are extremely important for creating a better future. My generation is open, smart and gentle. It’s worth paying attention to us!”
– says the director of the series, Izabella Mazzag, who herself claims to be a typical generation Z.
According to Alex Fajt, the actor of the HBO reality show The Bridge, the young people of the Z generation find it easier than their predecessors to find shorter ways in a task. He says, however, that he is worried about the generation because of their more sensitive spirit. “Emotional suppression often leads to a kind of addiction. They make it fashionable that it’s cool to take drugs, and if you suppress yourself, you don’t feel, you don’t think, you just are,” admits the influencer, who appears alongside seven other young people in the video series, which was supported by Chio.
