The native buffalo was left out of agricultural subsidies
It seems that the Ministry of Agriculture (FM) made a mistake when the native and endangered animal species like buffalo were missed this year – from the so-called production-linked – EU suckler cow subsidies.
According to the information of agrárszektor.hu the ministry may restore the situation of the previous years, and extends the EU suckler cow subsidy for the buffalos as well. However, the ministry considered that the buffalo cows otherwise can be also supported from national sources, but in this case – according to the sectoral opinions – the support would be reduced by half.
