The Nébih seized nine tonnes of meat
Almost nine tons of unmarked, irregularly stored or expired meat was seized by the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) at a Komárom-Esztergom county wholesaler.
According to the statement, the Komárom-Esztergom county company violated the regulations at several points. Part of the products were frozen in breach of the regulations for later sale. There were large quantities of unlabelled items of unknown origin among the meat accumulated in the unit’s refrigeration chambers. In addition, some of the meat products were expired. The authority ordered the withdrawal of the almost nine tonnes of products from circulation and ordered the destruction of these products. (MTI)
