It has been revealed how much money farmers can expect during the advance payment period of direct subsidies
The Ministry of Agriculture has published how much advance support farmers can expect in connection with the direct support related to the 2024 uniform applications. The advance payment period is expected to start on October 16 and last until the end of November, the Hungarian State Treasury will pay no more than 70 percent of the total amount of support awarded to farmers, expressed in forints.

In the case of farmers whose administration related to the unified application is still in progress, the payment can be made later – the National Chamber of Agrarian Economy draws attention.
The advance payment period for this year’s agricultural subsidies will begin soon
It is expected that the advances of the direct subsidies due to them based on the 2024 uniform applications will arrive on the farmers’ accounts from October 16. The advance payment period lasts until the end of November, and the Hungarian Treasury will pay no more than 70 percent of the total amount of the support expressed in forints to the affected producers during this period. After that, i.e. from the first of December, the partial payment period begins. In the case of farmers who are still in the process of handling the unified application (e.g. inspection), the payment can be made at a later date – points out the National Chamber of Agrarian Economy (NAK). The National Management Authority has already published the maximum amounts that can be paid under the basic level income subsidy promoting sustainability financed by the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund, the related temporary national subsidy, and the additional income subsidy promoting sustainability, which can be provided through redeployment. According to this, farmers can count on HUF 38,213 per hectare within the framework of the basic income support, the advance of the increased additional income support that can be provided through reallocation will be HUF 23,340, and the reduced additional income support will be HUF 12,457. The treasury pays HUF 21,854 as an advance for the young agricultural producer subsidy to those entitled to the subsidy.

The advance payment for the production-related ewes support is 8,565 HUF per individual, the advance payment for the production-related fattening bull support will be HUF 18,119 per individual, and the affected farmers can expect an advance payment of HUF 91,916 per individual for the production-related dairy cow support. The advance payment for vegetable crop cultivation tied to production will be HUF 60,043 per hectare, the advance payment for industrial vegetable crop cultivation will be HUF 106,825, and the advance payment for industrial oil crop cultivation tied to production will be HUF 33,722 per hectare. The Hungarian State Treasury pays farmers HUF 53,171 per hectare as a support advance for extensive fruit growing tied to production, and HUF 106,421 per hectare for intensive fruit growing. The advance payment for the cultivation of fibrous protein fodder will be HUF 12,479 per hectare this year. The submission period for this year’s uniform applications started on April 10, in the framework of which it was possible to apply for support for 44 support titles and measures, and to fulfill the obligation to provide data. The advisers of the NAK village farmer also actively contributed to the submission of uniform applications this year. NAK specialists assisted in the submission of more than 65 percent of the 159,551 applications, 104,477 applications submitted nationally by the deadline of June 10, 2024.
