K&H: information security “hygiene” has become a key issue
Fraudsters try to deceive people on more and more fronts – either on the phone or in the electronic space. Scams are becoming more and more sophisticated and difficult to recognize, so everyone, including children banking, must be even more careful than before, according to K&H’s compilation.
According to Ádám Nagy, head of information security at the financial institution, due to the rise of smart devices among young people, the key issue for parents is the creation of appropriate security “hygiene”.
As in the past years, this year and in the future, phishing will remain one of the most popular methods of cybercriminals, and moreover, they are trying to defraud bank customers with increasingly sophisticated methods. Thanks to new information technology tools, criminals can now send fake messages written in perfect Hungarian, with which they can more easily persuade unsuspecting users to give out their data. In addition, phishing can often be combined with blackmail, in which fraudsters can demand money from the people involved, who can be children, young people, adults, in fact anyone.
